As well as pursuing a busy international conducting career, Tom is well-known for his educational work and inspirational training of youth orchestras and choirs in the UK and South America.  He offers choral and instrumental conducting workshops at every level: whether you're looking for someone to facilitate staff development or to give students their essential first taste of standing up in front of their peers and leading them in music-making, he can tailor fast-paced and fun sessions to your department's needs.

Even a short session can help less experienced teachers explore fundamental aspects of the craft of conducting, enabling them to be a more relaxed, confident and effective presence with their groups.
More experienced teachers and directors may be looking to take their conducting on to the next level: a refresher session can offer new perspectives.  For students, getting a 'feel' for what conducting involves can transform their experience of ensemble playing or singing.    It teaches them about the importance of shared breathing in all music-making and can unlock surprising sources of confidence.   It can also make a welcome and enjoyable change for them to be led by their peers, and see one another in a new light!

Private lessons are also available.
